I'm heading down to the gaming club tonight for some 1500 point action. I'm sort of feeling the urge to try out another All Goblin list. Possibly something like this:
Goblin Warboss
Great Weapon, Armor of Fate
Goblin Big Boss
Battle Standard Bearer, Spider Banner, Short bow
Night Goblin Big Boss
Giant Cave Squig, Spear, Charmed Shield
2x Night Goblin Shaman
Level 2 upgrade
40 Goblins
Shields, Short bows, Full Command
Deployed as a Horde and joined by the BSB. If one of the shamans get off Gift of the Spider Queen, they'll be shooting 20 shots that poisons their target on 5+, not to mention their 30 close combat attacks!
40 Night Goblins
Shields, Full Command
Probably deployed 5x8 in hopes of being Steadfast. Joined by the Warboss to hold the lines.
5 Goblin Wolf Riders
Short bows
Very cheap fast cavalry is always useful, if nothing else than to harass enemy units and threaten warmachines.
7 Night Goblin Squig Hoppers
Joined by the Big Boss on his own squig for some bouncing goodness! I'm eager to try these guys out. Most likely they'll bounce up a flank and sweap in for the side charge.
21 Night Goblin Squig Herd
14 Squigs, 7 Herders
A cheap, hard hitting flanker for the counter-charge. Probably deploys in between the goblin blocks.
Goblin Wolf Chariot
Extremely cheap chariot to provide the added UMPH! on the charge.
Goblin Spear Chukka
A single spear chukka to take out monsters or chariots. It usually does very little, but if it does hit and takes something out, it's worth the cheap investment.
Goblin Doom Diver
Actually got even better in the new edition, with the use of the target goblin as the template it makes it easier to hit with it. Should be able to take out cavalry or other heavily-armored troops that the gobbos will struggle against.
Giant
My goblins never leave home without their Giant. The big guy will help break enemies in combat by combo-charging alongside the gobbo blocks. He's always amusing and at 1500 points can be quite a handful to take out.
